Summer Camp : Session 2

This camp is perfect for girls with no experience up to an intermediate skill level. We will divide the athletes into small groups by similar age and experience and will modify drills accordingly. We will focus on the fundamentals to ensure that athletes are being taught and practicing the correct way to play, with the goal of long term success and player safety. We utilize a combination of different drills and group work to make sure the girls are working hard, learning a lot, and having FUN! Each player will need to bring a ton of water, a snack, and perhaps a towel for when we work with water balloons. 

Tentative Camp Schedule:

Monday - All Things Defense! 

Fundamentals of playing catch, grounders, popups, defensive communication, and movement through the play (Infield & Outfield Range)     

Tuesday - Batting, Bunting & Baserunning

6 parts of the swing, point of contact, tracking & timing, power vs. contact, bunting 101, leadoffs & steals, sliding and diving, tagging up

Wednesday - Softball School & Strategy

Read vs force plays, defensive communication, bunt defense, cuts & relays, scrimmages & situations
